Congratulations to the newly elected leadership

The Comparative and International Education Society proudly announces the newly elected members of the Board of Directors. We extend our sincere appreciation to all members who participated in the voting process and offer our warmest congratulations to the newly elected representatives.

The elected officials will begin their terms during the State of the Society Business meeting at CIES 2026 in San Francisco, scheduled for March 28-April 1, 2026.

The Vice President shall be elected for a 1-year term and automatically and successively shall become the President Elect for a 1-year term, the President for a 1-year term, and the immediate Past President for a 1-year term. The Treasurer, Secretary, Student Representative, and two Members-at-Large shall each be elected to serve three-year terms.

This announcement, which constitutes the official notification of the election results to the membership, has been published following verification that the voting participation requirement established under Article VI, Section 4 of the CIES Constitution has been satisfied. The Constitution requires that at least 20% of members participate in the election; in this election, participation reached 31%, thereby fulfilling this requirement as well as all other provisions set forth in the CIES Constitution and Bylaws.
