Gender Justice SIG
WELCOME TO THE GENDER JUSTICE SIG
SIG DESCRIPTION
The purpose of the Gender Justice SIG is to offer a supportive intellectual space for researchers and practitioners to share their work, network with each other, and advance the field. It also offers a mechanism for promoting issues, challenges and successes in the area of Gender Justice within the CIES and beyond.
Gender Justice is a rapidly growing field in education. This is evidenced by changes and innovations in education programs and practice; the increasing number of journals focused on gender research; conferences taking place in different regions of the world; and jobs in gender and education practice. Such growth indicates a need for space to engage in critical conversations on the complexities of gendered cross-cutting issues, emergent theoretical approaches, new methods of intersectional analyses, and innovations in transformational practices.
