CIES members' publications and/or updates:
-Dr. Carol Lee, President of the American Educational Research Association (AERA) appointed Beverly Lindsay (Professor and Senior Scientist of Higher Education and International Policy Studies at Penn State University) as a member of the AERA Presidential Commission on International Relations. Dr. Lindsay, designated as Chair-Designee of the Commission, will become the chair from 2009-2012. The International Relations Commission will expand it's work from including leading scholars and policymakers from throughout the world on the annual AERA Program to the development and presentation of policy briefs and papers to senior government and foundation officials throughout the globe. Of particular interest, will be a focus on university engagement in domestic and international settings.
Currently working with colleagues from six continents, Dr. Lindsay is writing her seventh book, "Universities and Global Diversity; Preparing Educators for Tomorrow, via a grant from the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (AACTE).
